Meet the Chef
Federica De Marchi, Head Chef at Bovingdons
Originally from the beautiful city of Venice, Federica De Marchi, known affectionately as Fede, brings passion, creativity, and precision to every plate she creates.
Fede began her culinary journey in 2013 as a Demi Chef at L’incontro Restaurant, where her love for creative plating first took shape. Her career progressed at Lima Floral as Chef de Partie, honing her skills in organisation and timing, ensuring smooth, efficient service in a prestigious location.
In 2015, Fede joined Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, one of London’s leading names in luxury event catering and premium workspace dining. Her talent and dedication soon led her to Bovingdons in 2017, earning the role as Senior Sous Chef. Here, Fede took the lead on catering large-scale events for 1000+ guests, designing bespoke menus, coaching team members and upholding Bovingdons high culinary standards.
In 2022, Fede’s exceptional skill, leadership and work ethic were recognised with her promotion to Head Chef. Today, she leads a talented brigade of 12 chefs, overseeing events for up to 3000 guests, always with her trademark creativity and calm precision.
87 Barts Close holds a special place in Fede’s heart. She has long been the creative force behind its carveries, court lunches and fine city dining experiences, working closely with the venue team to deliver memorable moments for every guest.
